Reading Vocabulary Words & Definitions:
Historia: El juicio de Cardigan Jones pg. 47-64

Destreza clave

Vocabulario:

*juicio- estudio y decisión de un caso en una corte ante un juez (the decisión made by a judge)

*jurado- grupo de ciudadanos escogidos especialmente, cuya función es decidir la inocencia o culpabilidad del acusado en un juicio (people who are chosen to decide if somebody, that’s accused of a crime, is either innocent or guilty)

*convencido- estar seguro de algo, o que ha sido persuadido de algo (to be convinced of something)

*culpable- responsable de haber cometido un delito (responsable of making a crime; guilty)

*señalar- designar a alguien o algo con el dedo, la mano o de otra forma para llamar la atención a el (to point to something or someone with your finger or hand)

*palabra- promesa de que lo que se dice es cierto (a promise that what you’re saying is true)

*murmullo- ruido que se hace hablando, especialmente cuando no se entiende lo que se dice (when several people are whisperering about something, but you can’t understand what is being said)  

*estrado- lugar del tribunal donde se coloca el testigo o el acusado en un juicio (a witness or the person who is being accused sits in this spot in a court room)
