About Mrs. Rydell
Hello! My name is Emily Rydell and this year begins my 8th year of teaching! I spent the first five years teaching English/Reading in the upper grades (8-12). I know where your students are headed in their academic journey and am prepared to get them there.
I received my Bachelor's Degree in Education from Texas A&M with a concentration in grades 4-8 ELAR/SS in 2014, and my Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Western Governor's University in 2017. I am passionate about creating lifelong learners and helping students see their potential and strengths.
My husband is also a teacher here in San Antonio. He teaches ALE Science at Roosevelt High School and is the Head Wrestling Coach. Our two biological children are Luke (>1) and Lauren (almost 4). We are also a foster family to two brothers (13 and almost 17). Most of our weekends are spent at Wrestling tournaments or with family.
Thanks for stopping by, and feel free to reach out if you have questions, comments, or concerns. The best way to reach me is by email [email protected]. I ask your help to support balance between family and work time. If I receive an email after work hours, I may not have the opportunity to respond until work hours the next day. With the same thought in mind, I will not expect a response to communication sent after hours.
