My name is Debbie Mainz, and I am so excited to be your child’s 3rd grade teacher this year!

I’ve been in education for 30 years, teaching grades 3rd through 5th. For the past 9 years, I’ve had the privilege of serving as a reading and math interventionist here at Cambridge, working with students in 1st through 5th grade. I’m thrilled to return to the classroom and continue my teaching journey with a new group of learners.

My husband and I have one son, Trey, who is a junior at SMU—Go Ponies! We’re officially empty nesters and enjoy spending our time traveling, hiking, attending live music events, and relaxing at home with our dog, Maverick, and our cat, Goose.

I can’t wait to welcome students back and get to know all our wonderful Cambridge families. This year will be filled with fun, growth, and lots of learning. I’m truly looking forward to building a classroom community where your child feels valued, supported, and inspired every day.
